Details

The Economist is a weekly international news and business publication offering clear reporting, commentary and analysis on world politics, business, finance, science and technology. The Economist is different from other publications because it has no by-lines. It is written anonymously, because it is a paper whose collective voice and personality matter more than the identities of individual journalists. The Economist is widely regarded as one of the world's most influential current affairs and business titles. Note: The Subscription will start in 5-7 weeks.

In an age where it seems all news has become tabloid, the Economist magazine stands out as one of the most professional and comprehensive newspapers in the world. Here's how it works: open it up and run through the pretty detailed table of contents. Next up is news briefs, in case you haven't been keeping up with the major headlines of the week. Then, some editorials on the main subjects of the current issue. In terms of editorial style, I find the Economist quite palatable. They don't shove crazy views down your throat, and are unafraid to point out the shortcomings of any politician, no matter what the party affiliation. Most editorial opinion is more centered on the defense of human rights, and the right of people to live freely ... in other words, opinions that all civilized people can agree are important.
